CLASSES –  SEPTEMBER 13^th 2010 through the week of APRIL 18^th 2011

Conservatory classes are available for students ages 11 to 19. Our Conservatory program offers professional training for the serious acting student. Classes focus on learning the skills needed to become a highly trained performing artist.

In order for our students to have the finest quality experience possible it is required that all students enrolled in Conservatory commit to the full eight months of training. When registering at Theatre Arts Conservatory you are committing to the full eight months of classes. Please review our policies before registering.

Classes will begin the week of Monday, September 13^th and run through the week of April 18^th. We will be closed December 20^th through January 9^th for winter break. With the exception of winter break classes are held each week.

 

ACTING CONSERVATORY III (COLLEGE PREP) Ages: 15-19          Day: Wednesday          Time: 4:15-5:45          Tuition: *$450 Pre-requisite: Students must be in at least tenth grade (regardless of age) and completed at least one year of Conservatory II classes Professional training building from skills studied in Conservatory II. This class has a special emphasis for students preparing to continue their training in theatre at the college level. In addition to regular areas of study students will receive support in researching colleges, the college application process and preparing college audition packages. MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY Ages: 12-18          Day: Tuesday          Time: 4:15-7:00          Tuition: *$800 Pre-requisite: None Musical Theatre Conservatory focuses on all of the skills required to be a consummate performer of musical theatre. Students will work with voice, acting and movement instructors as well as prepare a musical theatre showcase to perform at various venues in the spring and summer.  It is strongly recommended that students enroll in Acting Conservatory I, II or III concurrently with Musical Theatre Conservatory. Acting skills studied in Musical Theatre Conservatory will be specific to musical theatre. The foundation of our training, and the in-depth, advanced acting techniques that are preparing our students for future training in some of the most respected theatre programs in the world, are only taught in Acting Conservatory classes. Students enrolled in both Acting and Musical Theatre Conservatory are considered “Full Conservatory” students and will receive a tuition discount. Students will be billed for this amount after classes begin. For only $37 a month more you can also enroll in Acting Conservatory becoming a Full Conservatory student taking advantage of the best, well rounded theatre training available.

 

FULL CONSERVATORY Ages: 12-18          Day: Monday and Tuesday OR Tuesday and Wednesday 9/13-4/20          Time: Varies depending on Acting Conservatory enrollment          Tuition: *$1100 Pre-requisite: Those required for individual Acting Conservatory levels Become a true “triple threat” with professional training in acting, voice and movement for both straight plays and musical theatre. Students in Full Conservatory are enrolled in either Acting Conservatory I, II or III as well as Musical Theatre Conservatory. Students must meet the age and pre-requisite requirements for each class they are enrolled in. PRIVATE TRAINING Ages: 8 to adult Private and semi private training is available. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a professional instructor to improve your skills or prepare for an upcoming audition.
